MUA: ROCIO MATTOS

Hi I am Rocio Mattos, a freelance makeup artist from Uruguay, creator and founder of Rocio Mattos- Mua. I do Fashion, Films and TV.

While I  enjoy working in all sectors of the beauty industry, my passion is Film, on it, the hair and makeup is often a character in and of itself and can tell a story about who the main figures in the story are and where they are going, being part of this process, working following ones directors vision in company with actors fulls me of joy, pride and ownership of my work where creative skills are matched by technical knowledge and also consistently articulating a compelling vision of what will work best in changing circumstances on a set.

My love for makeup style and beauty has been with me my whole life, on my very beginning days in the industry I worked as Key Make up artist in many many commercials also in innumerable I did Wardrobe Stylist, assisting the ones dominating the niche, proud of this experience which enriched me of all my skills and experience. This helped push me to follow my passion and graduated from Atelier Rosario Vinoly for later become the Head Makeup department in films and series for the most prominent production companies in South America.

Following the ambition of learning more of the Industry I moved to New York City in 2019, an amazing city were I could get involved in Fashion Campaigns and the production of catalogs for Uruguayan brands and from abroad.
